Business Finland is looking for a full time, fixed term (7 months) Global Growth trainee with a hands-on attitude and proactive mindset. The Global Growth service area supports the international growth of Finnish companies through a network of export centres covering 32 countries. In addition to Finland and its’ offices, Business Finland serves in 34 countries and in 42 offices worldwide. Working in Business Finland’s Global Growth -team offers you an excellent chance to start your career and work closely with dynamic Finnish export markets. The starting date in this position will be 1.6.2021. Because of the current Covid-19 situation the work will start as remote work. In case the restrictions do change, the work location will be Business Finland's office in Ruoholahti.

Your role:

You will get an opportunity to work in a fast-moving and truly global organization, offering you a unique view into international markets and business environments. In this position, your job tasks include supporting a cross-cutting project that develops a roadmap to transform Business Finland into a Change Agent for Sustainable Business (CASB) in the following ways:
- Contribute to identifying, compiling and analyzing reports, data and other material on the state of sustainable business in Finland to define a baseline for the roadmap
- Gather insights and learnings on how sustainable business in promoted by similar agencies in other peer countries
- Monitor, collect feedback and insights, and report on piloting activities undertaken by Business Finland to promote sustainable business through its’ operations
- Assist in other tasks related to the CASB project such as data collection and synthesis, preparation of presentations for teams and directors and overall coordination

What we expect from you:
- Relevant educational background from university or university of applied sciences (for example on business, economics, or social sciences and preferably with a focus on sustainability)
- Previous working experience in office or administrative work
- Good skills in data collection, data process and data analysis
- Proactive working style and interest towards sustainable business practices
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team: you are socially at ease in a multicultural environment
- Fluent communication skills in English and Finnish and very good skills in the Office 365 –environment
