Would you like to be part of creating Finland’s international success story? Business Finland is looking for a full time, fixed-term (7 months) Communications & HR trainee with a hands-on work style and proactive mindset. The Public Affairs and Communications team is responsible for Business Finland’s domestic PR and media relations, stakeholder communications and internal communication. You will be stationed in this team, but will divide your time with Business Finland’s HR team. Starting date for this position will be in week 22. Because of the current Covid-19 situation the work will start as remote work. In case the restrictions do change, the work location will be Business Finland’s office in Ruoholahti.

Your role:
You will get an opportunity to work in a fast-moving and truly global organization, offering you a unique view into international markets and business environments. When working in Business Finland, you will meet colleagues and partners from all over the world from many different industries, companies and organizations, and you will have an opportunity to support the strengthening of Business Finland’s thought leadership and employee experience.

Your tasks will include:
- Maintenance and spring cleaning of databases and intranet content
- Practical arrangements for events and workshops
- Assisting in content production and publishing content on various digital channels
- Supporting the rollout of our new HRD platform
- Other supporting tasks
- Depending on your skills set, the role may also include visual marketing support, such as image processing, production of visual materials for social media, and touching up PowerPoint presentations

What we expect from you:
- You feel passionate about supporting the success of Finnish companies.
- You have a background in higher education in a relevant field of study, such as communication, marketing or business, and you have previously worked in an office setting with responsibility for administrative or communication tasks. For example, communication experience from a student association can be a good background.
- You are quick on your feet and enjoy a dynamic work environment. Even when schedules are tight, you work efficiently and take pride in producing good quality work. You are able to work independently, but you enjoy being part of a team and feel at ease in a multicultural environment.
- You are comfortable with using various IT systems and digital tools and have a good working knowledge of the Office 365 environment. Skills in image processing and visual marketing are considered an advantage.
- You are fluent in Finnish and English.
