Job Description

Do you have knowledge in computer science or embedded software? Are you interested in real-time software development and mobile communications?
Join us in implementing real-time solutions with advanced software development methods for Nokia’s 4G/5G/cloud base station products. You can apply and enhance your skills in agile software development, embedded systems and signal processing.

You will be helping to create the next generation baseband and RF System on Chip (SoC) solutions, and work as a member of our highly specialized real-time SW team. You will be working with our DevOps software production systems and hard real-time embedded solutions, especially Linux platform, middleware services and fronthaul for LTE/5G L1 processing. Our responsibility area covers the full embedded and real-time SW/DSP development cycle, from early requirements analysis to final delivery to our operations and customers.

You should understand the significance of good SW practices for developing high quality SW, particularly the benefits of Agile development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices. General interest in computer science, processor architectures and signal processing will be appreciated. You should be comfortable working with C/C++, Python, and have experience in Matlab and Linux environments. A background in automated testing and real-time systems will help you blend in.

Qualifications:

• Experience in software R&D in a global environment
• Experience with real-time embedded SW & Linux or base station transport/fronthaul protocols
• Understanding of or experience with signal processing or physical layer processing
• Understanding of LTE/5G systems and the L1 technology area, as well as related product creation processes and tools
• Experience in automated testing, real-time systems and fault management/product quality

• Responsible for troubleshooting (including logging) improvements
• Fault analysis and correction of issues
• Quality improvement actions in own area
