We are now looking for an organized Project Manager to join Helvar’s agile and professional Components Product Development team!

Helvar is a Finnish electrical engineering company with over 100 years of expertise. Helvar develops and manufactures high-quality and sustainable LED Drivers, radio nodes, and other electronics used in modern LED luminaires.

As a Project Manager at Helvar, you’ll be in charge of managing new product development projects. You’ll lead the planning of the in-house HW and SW development and ensure the projects are progressing as planned. You’ll cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of project activities, including type testing schedules, production of prototypes, and pilot series. You’ll also be involved in building business cases and schedules in collaboration with the product management team. Occasionally, you may collaborate with mechanical design teams and suppliers as well. Another important aspect of your role will be identifying opportunities to enhance Helvar’s processes for example within the field of project development or R&D.

You might be the right person for the job if you are an organized person who has an understanding of product development, experience in electronics, good initiative, and drive to make things happen. In this role, you get to lead product development projects in a compact, flat, international, and friendly organization that is not only technically highly skilled but straightforward and able to make progress and decisions quickly. You will be working closely with and reporting to the Product Development Manager. In this key role, you will have a real impact on the development of Helvar’s products and the business overall. Therefore, you are trusted to have consistency and commitment to see tasks through from start to finish, all while remaining adaptable and attentive to others.

Helvar hopes you have:
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering / Electronics or other relevant field
- Good understanding of product development for high-volume production
- Previous experience in electronics development
- Drive and commitment to ensuring projects’ success, and determination to uphold promised schedules
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Good spoken and written English language skills

Helvar considers as an asset:
- HW or SW development background and proven experience in project management
- Understanding of LED driver or power supply development
- Experience with agile methods
- Finnish language skills

Practicalities:
This is a permanent full-time position and you’ll be employed directly at Helvar. The work happens according to the hybrid model and you can work both at Helvar’s office at Karkkila and remotely. The specific starting date can be agreed upon but your team is eager to meet you so Helvar hopes you can start as soon as possible.
