Technical Process Operator

Ametek is a world leader in the design, development, manufacture, and sale of radiation detection components used in X-ray and gamma-ray detection. These are used primarily in X-ray spectroscopy, for analytical chemistry in laboratory and portable applications, and in nuclear and space research.

AMETEK Finland is seeking highly motivated individual to serve as our Technical Process Operator at our Espoo location. Technical Process Operator is responsible for carrying out consistent, high-precision backend production processes to meet timely delivery of AMETEK Finland’s products. The Technical Process Operator will also contribute to maintaining a high quality of production and participate in other manufacturing duties as needed. You will be surrounded by a team of experts who provide you the support you need to succeed. In the beginning you will work side-by-side with an experienced mentor, who will help you get familiar with your role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with regular production of radiation detectors, radiation windows and other products of the Company.
- Work with the processing of engineering lots and development project batches
- Handling and storing process data of the production work for quality control purposes.
- Assist in documentation and maintenance of the production processes.
- Production work in the clean room.
- Identification of any issues and improvement opportunities related to production processes, together with other AMETEK Finland engineering team members

We require:
- You have an eye for details and a structured and disciplined working style
- You enjoy working on tasks that require good manual dexterity
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Fluent language skills English, both written and oral

Ametek Inc. requires their employees to do a substance test. Because our Espoo office space is located in a building that is administered by VTT, all employees are required to pass the Finnish Security Intelligence Service’s security screening.

We consider as an asset:
- Earlier work experience in similar tasks in a laboratory environment or similar
- Finnish language skills
