We are now looking for a service minded tech enthusiastic as a

Technical Support Engineer

to join our Global Technical Support & Training -team in Iisalmi to support all Normet personnel related to technical issues. In this position you will help ensure high quality support to internal and external customers. The topics the team solve can vary from basic trouble shooting to the higher-level technical training sessions to enhance the competencies and professionalism of the people. Your important aim in this position is high-customer satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for you to grow or launch your career as a professional in the field of technical support engineering.

About the job

In this position you will respond to global technical support requests related to Normet technologies and troubleshooting. You will also support in technical documentation. You will be an important and valued support for our internal and external stakeholders in new technologies, such as SmartSpray, SmartScan and SmartDrive. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will have opportunity to work externally with suppliers and partly with customers when visiting at the sites. Key internal stakeholders are Spare Part Sales, R&D, production, Service Center and other Normet Service and Sales functions globally.

To succeed in this position, we value:

B.Sc. (Tech.) degree (or equivalent) in e.g. automation, mechanics, or electrics.
Technical background and at least some working experience and understanding about hydraulics, electrics, or automation.
Knowledge of mining industry products and technologies is considered as an asset.
Analytical mindset, troubleshooting skills and self-driven approach to work
Ability to stand at times hectic job environment and good project management skills
Ability to work both independently and in good co-operation with others
Interest to train and assist other people
Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and graphics.
Knowledge of Tech Support ticketing system is considered beneficial.
Fluent Finnish and English language skills, both written and spoken.
